I’m so glad you’re here. Are you living out your “if” from a trustworthy source?Growing up, I dreamed, “If only I had a horse and lived in a castle, I’d be safe, carefree, and live happily ever after.”The reality, as I lived it— horses take a lot of hard work, including mucking out the stalls, grooming, and loading hay bales into the hay barn. And castles, though they have high walls, moats, and tall towers, are dark, damp, and cold—not fairytale-ish at all. My ifs, back then, were based on a worldly fantasy, not reality. Therefore, my understanding of how life would be, if… wasn’t a trustworthy source to produce the outcome I’d hoped for.Yet, I can trust the truths found in God’s word. We can trust His truths."Therefore, if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, These are great ifs. So what next?“...then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. These actions speak to our spirits. But, Paul’s not done yet  .“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility, value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. Placing others first gives us a perspective that Jesus walked out.“In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:”  Philippians 2:1-5 NIVIf we are encouraged by our relationship with ChristIf we are comforted by His loveIf we are in tune with the SpiritIf we are experiencing tenderness and compassionThen, by being like-minded with Christ, we will humble ourselves (utilizing the fullness of our God-designed spaces)—by placing the interests of others above our own. What ifs need your focus today? Ask the Holy Spirit to bring to your remembrance the areas He wants you to consider, then pray over your thoughts and be assured He will reveal your next best if.Let’s journey together Heavenly Father, give me the mind of Christ that I may live out the ifs You have for me. You hold the key to all possibilities, O Lord. My life is in Your hands, and my heart is Yours alone. To You, be all glory and honor. Hallelujah. Amen.Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22May YHWH bless you, keep you, and guide you in all you do.
