Fearless to stand against the lies of the enemy. “What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31 What say ye, my friend? Is today the day?No more staying in the shadows of fear.No more wondering if God can really use you.No more doubting the path God has laid in front of you.Take up the Sword of the Spirit and the Shield of Faith with confidence. What Are Your Thoughts About the Book of Revelation?
Join our conversation! What Are Your Thoughts About the Book of Revelation?Let’s Journey Together and spend a midweek moment with Father.I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire you in your walk with the Lord. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here. The book of Revelation can be a difficult pill to swallow. The thought of so many being tormented. So many dying. We can get caught up in the visuals of these passages and miss the bottom line. Those who do not follow Yeshua will suffer greatly to the extent of eternal separation from YHWH.For those who follow Jesus, the story has not ended—yet. You and I still have time to share the gospel with those who do not yet know Him.I believe that’s why we are told to read Revelation. Not to fear what’s coming, but to prepare our hearts, words, and deeds to influence those YHWH has placed in our paths with Truth. We are told the path to heaven is narrow. Narrow by whose standards?Let us not neglect the sharing of Truth, thinking only a “small” group of people will enter eternal glory, so why bother?Instead, let us remember that YHWH measures time differently than we do; therefore, His concept of “narrow” time may be different from ours.Let us run with abandon, sharing the Gospel of Yeshua with everyone, and squeeze through the gate together. Oh, that we might enter the narrow gate side-by-side.Blessings and Shalom to you and your families.Let’s journey together Father, fill me with a deep passion for sharing the truth about Your Son, Jesus Christ, with everyone I know.Remove barriers that silence my sharing.Open my eyes to see the hearts of Your children from Your perspective, that I may care for them as You do.Let not a day go by with missed opportunities to talk about Your love and mercy.Guide my path to those who are ready to receive the truth that transforms for eternity. To You, O Lord, be all glory, and honor, and praise.Hallelujah. Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. I’m on-site at the Florida Christian Writers Conference, and so happy to have Shellie Arnold join our conversation about Submission in Marriage.Shellie Arnold’s passion is helping marriages flourish. As a kid from a broken home in her early teens, she decided she wasn’t going to marry. Then, as Shellie describes it, God “called” her to marriageShellie says her marriage of thirty-eight-plus years is an “on-going miracle” that God continues every day. She believes Christians can learn to think strategically, work with God, and transform their marriages. After all, Jesus died to redeem every part of our lives. Is Your Trust in God a Secondhand Faith?
Join our conversation! Is your trust in God a secondhand faith?Let’s Journey Together and spend a midweek moment with Father.I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire you in your walk with the Lord. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here.Growing up, I believed what I saw, whether perceived or factual. I'm a visual and tactile kind of gal. I feel it, see it, and believe it.Yet, I've lived long enough to discover that much of what I see is mere facades—candy coatings that promise one thing and deliver another. When these false concepts are spoken with fervor or displayed with confidence, they come across as believable. My immature faith was the same. I watched. Heard. Believed. Went on with life. When I experienced firsthand the power and depth of God’s love for me, my spirit shifted. My knowing about Jesus and how much God loved me transformed into a supernatural and intimate understanding of who Yeshua (Jesus) truly is, how the Holy Spirit actively guides me, and why YHWH (God) wants an intimate relationship with me.I no longer had a secondhand faith based on what others said or what I was told I needed to believe. My faith grew into a supernatural, intimate trust in my Creator. This transformation was a literal life changer.Have you experienced firsthand trust like this? You can.Reach out to Father. All He has is available to you. Wisdom and knowledge are never-ending with YHWH.“Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!” Romans 11:33 ESVFirsthand faith grows through our trust in Yeshua.Spiritual intimacy is experienced through the Holy Spirit in us. Once we feel a deep connection with the Father, life changes forever.Trust in the honest prayer that comes from your heart. Speak it out, and don’t be afraid to share how you really feel with the Holy Spirit. He hears and cares for you!Let’s journey togetherYHWH, You love me deeply, and I’m blessed by Your attention to the details in my life. Thank You, Yeshua, for Your Spirit. By Your Spirit, I can walk out my faith with strength beyond my abilities. My trust and hope is in You, to the moon and beyond.Hallelujah.Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. I’m so glad you’re here.Jesus is called a mystery. We find this in Eph. 5:32 and Col. 1:26.Yet, when we read Scripture, ponder it, and seek its truth, we realize how applicable and trustworthy it is to our everyday lives.“Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst.” 1 Timothy 1:15 NIVConsidering ‘I am the worst’ in comparison to Paul’s life, no, I haven’t persecuted Christ’s followers, yet I have gone against God’s will.My choices should nullify my eternal inheritance, right? But it does not.God’s love for me, His love for You, is beyond measure. He gave His Son over to die and suffer death in order that you and I would not.How powerful is that? How precious is that?Let’s Journey Together.O Lord, forgive me when I follow my desires over Yours.Help me stay ever aware of Your sacrifice and mercy.Guide me in the ways of living right through the Holy Spirit.May I honor You all my days, in the name of Jesus. God’s Good Portion is Awaiting You
Join our conversation!God’s Good Portion is Awaiting YouLet’s journey together and spend a midweek moment with Father. I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire your walk with the Lord. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here. Completing tasks and building relationships. Both are important to living life, right?“But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.” Luke10:41-42ESVSiblings. Isn't it amazing how we can be raised in the same family and be completely different? Our uniqueness gives us opportunities to accomplish much for the Father. Whether we are task-oriented or people-oriented, how we choose to relate to Jesus matters most.I completely get why Martha was miffed at Mary.Preparing dinner and cleaning are important. Watching her sister sitting around accomplishing “nothing” had to be frustrating. According to Jesus, Martha was anxious and troubled, and at that moment, an opportunity of great importance was passing her by. The one necessary thing. Spending time with her Savior.Taking advantage of this portion of time to be still in His presence—is priceless. When we begin our day in the presence of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, we choose the good portion. We are still to cook, clean, work, and toil, but going to God first lessens our anxiety and frustration throughout the day. Breathing in the aroma of His essence stays with us and can pour out on others as well.Take just a moment and thank Holy Spirit for His presence in your life. Ask Him to guide your thoughts as you experience your day. Let your good portion overflow with love, hope, and caring.Let’s Journey Together.Praise You, Holy Spirit. Thank You for the truth in Your word. Help me to choose wisely how I begin my day. Guide my heart to be open to Your calling. Help me to help others to know You more. I praise You. Hallelujah. Bearing Fruit Requires Patience
Join our conversation!Bearing Fruit Requires PatienceLet’s Journey Together and spend a midweek Moment with Father. I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire your walk with the Lord. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here. There is so much to glean from my Scripture readings this morning. One verse that stood out is from Luke 8:15 ESV– “As for that in the good soil, they are those who, hearing the word, hold it fast in an honest and good heart and bear fruit with patience.”Bearing fruit with patience. Oh, y’all, I do not come by patience naturally. There is a patience rebellion sprouting up. Do you feel it?A few years ago, I had foot surgery. The fusing of the first knuckle of my big toe and shaving the bone left me incapacitated. YHWH knows I’m challenged to show patience in the process of being a patient. I want to get up and go, but I can’t. As a Mobilizer personality, the ability to get up, and go, and do, and accomplish is an area of strength. That said, I find that the ability to be patient sometimes rubs the get-er-done girl in me the wrong way, resulting in frustration. Yet, YHWH. Leaning into His truth (good soil), I discover I don’t have to depend on my own ability to be patient; I have the Holy Spirit. He is in me, giving strength to my weaknesses. How amazing is that?!?Therefore, fruit will grow as I lean into Him, learn His truth, trust His will, and walk confidently in His way.YHWH is so, so good. What do you need to patiently give over to the Holy Spirit? He is available to replace your weakness with His strength. Let’s journey together Thank You, Father. Your strength abounds in me via Your Holy Spirit. You are mighty to save. As Your child, I am ever thankful.I desire to bear much fruit on my journey, Lord. Remind me when I lean into the world and not into your Spirit.Give me brothers and sisters who are not ashamed to speak truth into my life.Open my eyes to anything blinding me from Your will.Help me to have a patient heart, open to Your teaching.Guide my thoughts.I praise You and honor You in the name of Your Son, Yeshua, my Messiah.Hallelujah. Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22 May YHWH bless you, keep you, and guide you in all you do. Have you unlocked your inheritance?
Join our conversation!Have you unlocked your inheritance?Let’s Journey Together and spend a midweek Moment with Father. I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire your walk with the Lord. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here. We usually consider an inheritance as something we receive after a loved one has passed away. Many people count on their inheritance to get them out of a bad situation, to satisfy a debt, and to make their dreams come true. Growing up in a family of modest means, the thought of an inheritance never entered my mind. Earthly comforts were never denied me and my bookend brothers, yet we didn’t live an extravagant lifestyle. Our needs were met, our home was safe, and we were loved. My parents were hard workers who instilled in their children a mindset that you only get what you work hard for. An inheritance our families benefit from still today.Yet, there is an inheritance each of us can unlock right now, and hard work on our part is not required.God's grace and mercy provide us with a key to living hope in Jesus Christ. He is the key to unlocking an imperishable inheritance. We read in 1 Peter 1:3-4 NIV, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you,”Father's inheritance of love for us is undeniable—yet so many are not experiencing Him.We all have loved ones who are hanging on by a thread, trying in their own might to make it through another day. The words of Truth we share with them can change the trajectory of their lives, unlocking an eternal inheritance. When we reach out in love to extend a hand of mercy, supportive grace, or a word of encouragement, we are, in essence, handing them a key to their inheritance.Oh, my friend, the time is now. Let us choose to create memories of inheritance in the lives of our children, family, and friends. Let us share the truth of Christ as we gather together. The Living hope of our eternal inheritance. How can you share Jesus with those you love? Let’s journey together Help me, Lord. Remove any hesitation to share the Good News of Messiah. Give me strength and wisdom. Guide my thoughts and actions.Open doors where I can lend a helping hand of mercy.Provide moments where I can share my Jesus stories.Thank You for Your Son. Thank You for the Holy Spirit.May all I do bring You honor and glory. In Christ, Your Son, by His power. Hallelujah.Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. Weakness is Not All It's Meant to Be
Join our conversation!Do you boast gladly of your weaknesses?Let’s Journey Together and spend a midweek Moment with Father. I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire your walk with the Lord. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here. Shhh... I have weaknesses.I’ve never gotten out of bed with the intent of shouting to the world, “Good morning, may I share my weaknesses with you?” In fact, the less anyone knows about my weaknesses, the better. Right?!?Several of my weaknesses woke me up over the last week, and ignoring them was not an option. As a get-it-done gal, I naturally move fast, work until the cows come home, and check off boxes with glee. Not so much of late. And I’m struggling to be okay with my weaknesses. Can you relate?Giggling out loud is the answer to my exposed weaknesses. Seriously. They are what they are, and denying the fact just doesn’t cut it. I’m in tortoise mode. The cows are coming home without me. And most boxes are left unchecked. And God. Despite. No... In the midst—of my weaknesses, God’s power prevails. We read in 2 Corinthians 12:9, “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me” (2 Corinthians 12:9 ESV).And God is able to use every aspect of my life to reveal His power in and through me. Whoa! Imagine everything we see as a negative used to magnify the glory of God. He is beyond amazing. He is our Everything. What weakness do you want to boast about? How are you seeing God in the midst of it?Let’s journey together Hello Father. What an amazing day You have given me. One more opportunity to share Your Grace stories with friends and family. Open my eyes to the wonder of Your Majesty. Help me recognize Your hand at work in and through my weaknesses.Remove negative thoughts preventing me from experiencing Your grace in a mighty way.Use me, in my weaknesses, to glorify Your name.Let the power of Christ rest on me today.Hallelujah. Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22 May YHWH bless you, keep you, and guide you in all you do. Mutual Encouragement is a Thing!
Join our conversation!Do you participate in mutual encouragement?Let’s Journey Together and spend a midweek moment with Father. I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire your walk with the Lord. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here. For those who know me, this will not come as a shock; I'm a wordy girl. I admit it. I talk a lot. I recognize silence as a vacancy sign that reads —“Please fill me with words!”As a wordy girl, I use my voice to encourage others. “Have a blessed day.”“How may I pray for you?”“I appreciate you.”“Tell me more, I’m listening.”How do you encourage others?I am often encouraged by individuals who write cards, send emails, make phone calls, and such. How about you? During my Bible study this morning, I read this timely truth from the book of Romans, “For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you— that is, that we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine” (1:11-12 ESV).My thoughts gravitated to “that we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith.” At that moment, I smiled. I have several friends who encourage me with their faith. Friends who, though going through great difficulties, shine with a light that surpasses their circumstances.Friends who share their faith with abandon.Friends who go out of their way to physically help others in need.Friends who take the time to sit and listen.Friends who walk out an others-first lifestyle. How do others encourage you?Father is quick to offer opportunities to encourage others with hope and kindness. How we respond to the opportunity can be a blessing indeed.Let’s journey together.Father, thank You for your truth.Thank You for opening my eyes to the need for kindness in this world. Thank you for touching my heart to reach out in faith and encourage those in need. Help me to take action. Help me to see your children as part of my family. Guide me to live a life bigger than myself. In Jesus’ name. Amen, and amen. HallelujahDo not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. Are You Excited to Say Grace?
Join our conversation! Are you excited to say grace?Let’s Journey Together and spend a midweek Moment with Father. I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire your walk with the Lord. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here. Sam and I watched the past episodes of Blue Bloods, starring Tom Selleck, awaiting the new season. Our favorite scene in almost every episode is the Sunday family dinner. Frank Reagan, Selleck’s character, asks who wants to say grace. Sometimes, there’s hesitation; other times, one of his kids or grandkids offers to lead out in thanking God for His provision. The act of “saying grace” is said to originate from a couple of passages in Scripture. Jesus said a blessing over the bread with His disciples. “When he was at (the) table with them, he took the bread and blessed and broke it and gave it to them” (Luke 24:30 ESV).When Paul was a prisoner on a ship crossing the Adriatic Sea, a storm came up, and he encouraged the crew to eat to keep up their strength. “And when he had said these things, he took bread, and giving thanks to God in the presence of all he broke it and began to eat” (Acts 27:35 ESV).What an honor it is to “say grace” before partaking in a meal, or a snack for that matter. As a child, my daddy would bless the meal. As I grew and opportunities opened up, I would say grace, not often, but on occasion. Truth is, I really didn’t understand the privilege of saying a blessing over our food. To acknowledge God’s provision in my life. All I have, all of it, is a blessing from God. Wow! What amazing grace we live under. Out of curiosity, are you the first or last to volunteer to voice your thanksgiving to Father? What holds you back from jumping at the chance to say grace? Many of us hold back because we have no idea what to say. Some hold back because we’ve heard grace spoken at mealtime yet have never experienced a grace-filled home. Others have never been exposed to grace. True grace. Here’s wonderful news: no matter our age, background, or biblical knowledge, we can all say, “Thank You, God. Amen.” No pomp and circumstance required. A simple yet sincere thank you. Recognizing God as our Provider.May we be forever grateful for God’s grace. Let’s journey together Heavenly Father, we thank You for all You give us this day. In Jesus’ name. Amen.Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22May YHWH bless you, keep you, and guide you in all you do. Join our conversation! How is God’s hand waving over you?Let’s Journey Together and spend a midweek Moment with Father.I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire your walk with the Lord. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here.Every shoreline is changed by the wave of God’s hand, and so, too, are the days of our lives.Sam and I love walking the beaches God places in our path as we travel. I go barefoot most of the time, squeezing the wet sand between my toes with each step.Discovering a pristine sand dollar during one of our excursions caused my inner girl to giggle out loud. On many occasions, I watch intently to see what He will wash up in front of me as each wave changes the topography of the beachfront. Here’s some folklore about the sand dollar for your consideration.“There’s a lovely little legend that I would like to tell, of the birth and death of Jesus, found in this lowly shell. If you examine closely, you’ll see that you find here, four nail holes and a fifth one, made by a Roman’s spear. On one side the Easter lily, its center is the star, that appeared unto the shepherds and led them from afar. The Christmas Poinsettia etched on the other side, reminds us of His birthday, our happy Christmastide. Now break the center open, and here you will release, the five white doves awaiting, to spread Good Will and Peace. This simple little symbol, Christ left for you and me, to help us spread His Gospel, through all Eternity.”The author is unknownWe are told in Romans 1:19-20 that we will discover God in His creation. What discoveries from Father have you found walking on the beach?I’ve discovered God allows waves of change in my life as well. New and renewed friendships, new experiences, unexpected joys, additions to our family—so many changes. And the longer I live, the quicker the tides appear and recede. How about you? What changes has God’s hand waved into your life?I realize that for many, the past few weeks have been a literal wave of devastation. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here. The temporary satisfaction of stream-fed water subsides with physical exertion. To accomplish more, I must replenish my water intake. Did you know 60-70% of the human body is made of water? Without additional water, my body would perish after three to four days. Kidneys start shutting down, internal organs begin to fail, and life ends.Yet, the Creator of our bodies tells us that He supplies water from the wellspring of life itself for those who thirst for Him.“He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty, I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life.” Revelation21:6NIVIf you've ever been thirsty to exhaustion, you know how it feels to sip in a taste of life-giving water. You can't get enough. It's the same with Father God. When you are so parched by life and thirst for and find Him, your satisfaction is beyond words. You are eternally satisfied at no cost—For Christ paid it all. Let’s Journey Together.Lord, thank You for Your Living Water, life beyond our physical boundaries, and the Truth that sets us free to know You more and never walk in fear. Hallelujah. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here. Have you experienced the kind of day when life hits from all sides, and you wonder why? That was my feeling not too long ago. I know many friends are experiencing similar hits right now.As I leaned on Sam’s shoulder that night, his reassurance about God’s faithfulness made me smile. I think we all can use reassurance right now.Sing with me, or hum along. In the morning when I rise, in the morning when I rise. In the morning, when I rise, give me Je-sus.I love the sense of peace these words bring. In the morning and all day, I only want and need Jesus. My plans are not always His, and I’m okay with that. When I rise, when I'm alone, when I hurt, when I laugh, when the world crashes in, when the skies open up, when my heart breaks, when my heart overflows—give me Jesus, friends, and a little frothed coffee. "LORD, in the morning you will hear my voice; in the morning I will pray to you, and I will watch for your answer." Psalm 5:3 ISVWhatever you’re experiencing, be encouraged. You are loved unconditionally. You are seen. You are heard. You are held. You are His.Let’s journey together. Oh, Abba, in the morning’s peace, fill my friend and me with Your Spirit. Help us run our race today with Your peace in our spirits. Infuse us with Your calm assurance of eternity to come. As we lean into Your Truth, help us take one step at a time toward the goals You set before us.All we need is You.Praise You, Almighty One. Hallelujah. Who's in Your Boat?
Join our conversation!Who's in your boat?Let’s Journey Together and spend a Moment with Father. I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire your walk with the Lord. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here.Does Water Refresh You?There's something about being on the water that refreshes me. When I'm cruising along at a leisurely pace, the breeze and occasional water spray hitting my body feel good, whether it’s salt water or fresh.Sam and I spent many hours cruising the Gulf of Mexico in our 23-foot center console, Sea Ox. Our goal was to go far enough out from the jetties to find the blue water changing color and big fish.During one trip, as we approached the perfect spot, Sam pointed to the horizon, “Hold on, we're turning back.”Do Rough Seas Cause You to Panic?A thunderhead was closing in fast. My joy turned to fear.Reflecting on Sam’s and my experience gives me empathy for the disciples when a storm came upon them while they were in a boat. We read about it in Mark 4:38-40 ESV.“But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him and said to him, ‘Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?” And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. He said to them, “Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?’”Where's Your Safe Harbor? The kids and I held tight to our seats, life vests on and eyes focused on the shoreline. We aimed to stay ahead of the storm and find a safe harbor. The disciples panicked, unaware that their Safe Harbor was already in the boat. This is true for us today. We can panic when storms rise unexpectedly. Yet, remembering that Jesus is our Safe Harbor calms our seas of despair, storms of doubt, and whirlpools of chaos. He is with us. His Spirit is in our boat, not on shore. What storms are you facing? During these stormy times, we can rest in the Truth of who He is, release our fears to Him, and relax as He carries us through.Let’s journey together.Praise You, Lord. You are merciful. You calm the seas. You make a way.You are my Strong Tower.I rest in Your truth, release my fears, and relax, knowing You've got this.Hallelujah.Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here. We're told that God will keep those who trust Him in perfect peace.“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You” (Isaiah 26:3)Trust?How's trust working for you these days? Trusting others can be a challenge. When someone violates our trust, we feel dishonored and vulnerable —violated trust can cripple our thoughts about future relationships, "What was I thinking? I'll never trust anyone again!"Yet, trust is a must if we are to live in perfect peace —consider a different perspective. I’ll never have peace if I base my trust on imperfect people. If, instead, I firmly believe in the reliability of my perfect Father, trust is no longer a gamble; it's a given. The world will fail us.We will fail the world.People will fail us.We will fail people.Loved ones will fail us.We will fail loved ones.God never fails —His Spirit in us is trustworthy. And with this truth, we can walk in peace.Let’s journey together. Oh Lord, my unfailing Father, hollowed be thy name. You lift me on wings of mercy. I trust in Your strength and provision. Your peace overcomes me, and my heart desires nothing more than to rest in Your arms. The world is stressful, and people can be untrustworthy. Help me rely on You, not on fallible human hearts. Guide me to Your truth. Help my lack of understanding. Increase my willingness to rely entirely on You. Give me Your perfect peace. Your peace is what I seek. Hallelujah. Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22May YHWH bless you, keep you, and guide you in all you do. Is your God a Big G or little g god?
Join our conversation! Is your God a big G or little g god?Let’s Journey Together and spend a Moment with Father. I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire your walk with the Lord. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here. As I experience the Word of God, I find distinct references between the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the Most Holy God of Israel, and the other gods referenced within. (If you’re curious, do a Bible search for “other gods.”)Life has not changed much, as other gods still strive to impact God’s creation today. This growing preoccupation of "not wanting to offend" has played directly into the hands of the enemy. There is a trend of watering down Truth, as the little g god has become a broad brush word of spiritual correctness. I’m reading Ezekiel, and wow, the references to how Israel turned away from God and His response to their behavior are eye-opening and heart-wrenching.The Israelite’s faith turned to the ways of the world. They became compliant to their surroundings, ignoring all they had experienced from God. The truth was diminished, impacting generations with spiritual misunderstandings. Without sharing our genuine beliefs, people will not know.Without belief in the true God, faith is misguided.“And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” Hebrews 11:6ESVMisguided faith results in empty promises and false beliefs. It is said, people want their lives to amount to something more than themselves, yet fail to believe in the One who "Is" more than themselves —God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.Without belief in the Father—who are people praying to?Without belief in the Holy Spirit—who is providing comfort?Without belief in Jesus Christ—who has forgiven their sins?Without belief in the Holy Trinity—who are people seeking for truth?Yet, God always provides a way to Truth for all who seek Him. We are the ones He uses. Our stories are His stories. Is Father asking you to talk more about Him? Are friends and family members seeking truth yet are not satisfied? Can you share your story with them? He will provide the words for you. Let’s journey together. YHWH, You are my God. Help me speak with bold confidence. Guide my heart. Empower my words—open doors of opportunity to share. Strengthen my countenance. Fill me with Your Spirit. Let all I do give You glory and honor. Hallelujah. Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22 May YHWH bless you, keep you, and guide you in all you do. I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire your walk with the Lord. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here. I struggle to be still. Yet, I so need to be still. How about you?Too much noise. Too many distractions. Too much chaos. Too many daily options. Too much for too long—drains me. My clarity wains. My discernment becomes clouded. My energy drains. If anyone needs to be still, it is me. And it doesn’t come as a surprise that Father asks us, asks me, to be still. "Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among nations, I will be exalted in the earth” (Psalm 46:10 ESV)!Being still and taking time to know God replenishes my mind, body, and soul. To rest, to be still—is a sanctuary to me. I’m able to breathe deeply when I’m still. How about you? When are you choosing to be still before God?Take a moment. Close your eyes. Breathe in deep, letting the air fill your lungs, and holding your breath. Then, slowly let out your breath through your mouth, and as your lungs empty (eyes still closed), thank God for the air you breathe. Repeat slowly as you are led, Thanking God for different aspects of your life, even the struggles. I desire to be still. I choose to be still. I will be still.Let’s journey together. Abba Daddy, thank You for calling me into an intimate relationship with You. I exalt You. I praise You. I lift You high. You are my God. You are my Lord. I long to serve You in all things. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here. I’m a fan of the Heartland series. As a former horse owner, I enjoy the interaction between Amy’s character and the horses she is asked to help in their moments of crisis. In one episode, a client asked Amy to prepare a wild horse for him to ride. The colt was strong-spirited. Amy’s goal was to gentle him, not break his spirit. Ultimately, she released the colt back into the open meadow to join his herd. When the client asked why, she said that breaking his spirit would wound the colt, lessening his potential to be a great horse.Breaking or crushing our spirit leaves us dried up and useless. Proverbs 17:22 ESV says, “A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up bones.”I’ve experienced a crushed spirit and moments when someone has spoken harmful words to me. My countenance was brought low. My self-esteem diminished. My heart broke. Yet God. He brings joy into my life through friends, a renewed purpose, and the power of His Word. When we revisit the Proverb above, we see that a joyful heart is good medicine. Just as God breathed life back into dry bones (Ezekiel 37:1-14), we can experience joy beyond a crushed spirit.Imagine God breathing into you right now. Feel His presence surrounding you. Stretch out your arms and receive all He has for you. Breathe deep and be filled to overflowing with His love and joy. Can you sense His joy? I can. Even as I write these words, I sense the Spirit releasing in me a joy beyond measure to encourage you, right where you are, to smile from deep inside and praise God, for He is with you, and He is for you.Are you ready to release your crushed spirit?Let’s journey together. Precious Father, I am filled with Your joy! Your presence envelopes me.Though my spirit was once crushed, I feel my dry bones returning to life. Your Spirit fills me.Your Word guides me.Your strength gives me courage.Your children give me hope.Thank You, Abba. Thank You for never abandoning me. Thank You for this day. Your breath. We can be so hungry for a position in life that we become obsessed with having it. “I wish I was doing what she’s doing.”“I’d be great at that job. He should pick me.” “That’s so not fair; I’m more qualified than...”Others, with sound intentions, can also place thoughts in our heads. “You deserve to sit at the head table...” “Think of all you could do if...”Yet, no matter “our” agenda, God sets our steps. His way should be our beacon. His will should be our desire. His timing is what we should seek. And humility is the key. “Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you,” 1 Peter5:6ESVActing on our own, we struggle to live out God’s best. Silence Is Our Friend

For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here. How do you respond to silence? It’s early morning. Silence is inviting me in. The warm glow from a nearby salt lamp fills the room, and my mind claims peace in the moment. In these times of silence, I connect easily to the Lord. I say easily… yet it’s more unhindered than easy. Nothing is vying for my attention, so I sit in His presence and soak up His truth, similar to a moment shared by David in the Psalms. “For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken.”Psalm 62:1-2 ESVI shall not be greatly shaken. I appreciate that David said he would not be "greatly" as he spoke out about not being shaken. I am sometimes shaken, yet knowing God is my rock, salvation, and fortress, I’m not greatly shaken. Peace envelopes me, and I embrace the silence even more. What do you experience when your world gets silent?Be encouraged. Silence doesn’t mean being alone or empty. It can be a blessing you need to experience, and it’s just around the corner.Let’s journey together.Precious Father, You are my rock. Your truth satisfies my soul. When my heart grows weary, I seek out silence, for You are waiting there for me. Help me to be present in the silence with You. Calm my spirit so that I may experience You intimately. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here. How do you experience God's love?I look forward to spending morning moments in the Word before heading into the day. My hubby, Sam, reads from the Complete Jewish Bible (CJB), and I use the English Standard Version (ESV). We compare words and phrases to delve deeper into the Scriptures.Sam has an analytical mind; he is the research guy. I enjoy writing down what I ponder from Scripture. Sitting next to Sam as we read God’s word blesses my soul and causes me to smile from deep inside. How do you feel when you read God’s word? What comes to mind when you consider His love?God loves us big time.God loves with arms open wide.God loves beyond measure.Oh, how He loves you and me.His plans for us are filled with abundance. Jeremiah 29:11The Lord gives us what is good, reaping a great harvest. Psalm 85:12 He is the Lord our God, who teaches us what is best, who directs us in the way we should go. Isaiah 48:17 The Lord is our refuge and our shield; we put hope in His word. Psalm 119:114 I'm comforted by these promises of His love. How about you? What promise of God are you holding tight to? By reading His Scriptures, we can know His promises. Knowing His promises gives us hope.Hope reveals God’s Love. His vast and everlasting love.Let’s journey together. Lord, help me this day to know You more through Your Son, Jesus, my Hope. Give clarity to my understanding that I may see the difference between Your promises and the world’s deception. Guide my thoughts to hunger for You and Your Truth. Your promises are true. Thank You for loving me as You do. To You be all honor and glory. Eternity Is For Everyone!

For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here. Ready to experience what’s waiting ahead? What thoughts come to mind about eternity? The lyrics in I Can Only Imagine by MercyMe pierce our awaiting souls as Bart, the lead singer, creates an image of what we may experience face-to-face with God. I. Can. Only. Imagine. We read in 1 Corinthians 2:9 ESV, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, not the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him—”My heart races with excitement in anticipation of my eternal home. Yet the question lingers— am I only to experience this heightened relational connection with God once I’m face-to-face with Him?The answer is no. For those who love the Lord, kingdom living is here. Right. Now.“—these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit.” 1 Corinthians 2:10 ESVThough we can only imagine eternity, we live today with the reality of Christ in us via the Holy Spirit. This experience is not imagined… it is purposed.“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” Romans 15:13 ESVThe Holy Spirit now prepares our hearts, empowering us from the inside to share Jesus’s truth. His word guides our daily steps now. His voice speaks truth into every situation now. His touch is intimate right now. Consider this: Though no one can conceive what life in God’s presence will be like as a brother or sister in Christ, we can experience the hope, love, and joy of God’s promise every day—right now, no matter our circumstances. How are you experiencing kingdom living now?Let’s journey together. Abba, touch the heart of your child. Draw me ever close. Open my eyes to see your glory here —now. Calm my spirit as I seek to serve You daily. Open doors, and give me clarity as I seek Your will. Allow me to dance before You today, to shout hallelujah and fall to my knees as I worship You. To You alone, I pledge my obedience, trust, and life. In Jesus alone, I can experience Your kingdom living today. Praise Him. Knowing Is the Beginning of Growing
Join our conversation! Is our knowing enough? When I work on manuscripts, I desperately want to include everything my reader will need to make wise choices about using their voice or whatever the topic is. And I’m reminded that when we know more about what we ‘know,’ it's difficult to return to how we were before. This is true about so many facets of our lives. Relationships and faith are two areas for sure. The more I know about God, His truth, and my friends and loved ones, the more I want to know. I become enthusiastic about knowing more.Early Christ-followers devoted themselves to knowing more.“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” Acts 2:42 NIVAs modern-day Christians, we should also hunger to know the Lord, know His word, know one another more, and be in prayer. To know the Lord is to commune with Him. Communion is a spiritual connection with Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, moving us from a mental understanding to a supernatural relationship.Discovering His backstory is similar to knowing Him. The more we know God, the more He shows up in every area of our lives. Not that He wasn’t there already, but knowing Him helps us recognize Him.Our knowing grows deeper when we are still, listening for His voice, and ready to receive His truth. I hear His voice in my spirit, and through His word, and from wise counsel. To know the Bible, we must read it, listen to it, and discuss what we learn with friends.Daily intake of the written word of God is a powerful antidepressant. The Word reveals Christ. Christ is Truth. The Truth of Christ sets us free.Knowing one another is part of gathering together. When we learn each other’s backstory, we develop a deeper relationship. Truthfully, we don’t have the time or means to know everyone’s backstory. Yet, the Holy Spirit reveals two or three friends He wants us to have an intentional relationship with. When He does, let’s be enthusiastic about the knowing.Prayer is a most fabulous way to communicate with God. We tell Him what we know about Him;He is our Strong Tower. All Knowing. All Powerful. Loving. Our Provider. We confess to Him, sharing the sins we need forgiveness for because none of us are perfect. We all sin and fall short of His glory daily. We thank Him specifically for all He does in our life, "Thank You, Lord, for the food on our table. Thank You for the money to make our car payment. Thank You for the roof over our heads."We ask Him to guide us, comfort us, and provide for our current needs, and we do so according to His will, His way, and His timing. We come to Father without an agenda, just a desire to know Him more. How about you? Is your knowing enough?Let’s journey together.Precious Abba, I come before You this day to thank You, praise You, and honor You. Your word is a lamp unto my feet. You set my feet on the solid rock of Truth. You draw me to new relationships so that I may know You and others better, hallelujah. You caution me when I am moving away from Your path and affirm me when I am walking strong in my faith. Guide my thoughts and actions. Help me to know You more. To You be all glory and honor. Hallelujah.Staying Real Just Got Easier!Discover Your God-Designed PersonalityFollow Linda Goldfarb on FacebookLeave a comment for Linda and HeatherCheck out Linda's BooksCheck out Heather's Books

Self Controlled Living
Join our conversation!Self Controlled LivingLet’s Journey Together and spend a Moment with Father. I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire your walk with the Lord. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here. Are we living “self” controlled lives?"No worries, I've got this.""I can take care of this myself, thank you.""I'm perfectly capable of doing this on my own."Many times, our pride, arrogance, or need for self-recognition move us to make declarative statements that render our minds over to destructive measures. This is especially true for my personality type. Oh, the restless nights spent trying to figure it all out alone. Once we declare, "I'm doing this my way," we wind up with "self" controlled outcomes. This road can become lonely, unfulfilling, and, in some cases, dangerous. How, then, does self-control prove to be of the Spirit, as we read in Galatians 5:22? But the fruit of the Spirit is self-control... Spirit-driven self-control occurs when we let go of self and release control over to God. His will must take top priority in our words, walks, and willingness to serve Him. Once we seek the will of Christ, new doors open that were never visible before. We find a new depth and understanding of self-control that doesn't require us to hold back but rather step forward into His control. It is then that we experience peace flowing through our souls.Calmness. Restfulness. Ease of pace. This intentional slowing down and giving over control leaves us more productive and less stressed. How about you? If you seek less stress, release “self” control to the Holy Spirit. He knows our hearts, and He’s ready to show us His. Once we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, the fruit of the Spirit is available to produce —love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control; the true markings of a life living for God. Let’s journey together. O Lord, I desire to walk out my life filled by Your Spirit. You are amazing, God. Your peace is what I seek.Your Spirit gives me all I need. Please help me recognize Your nudges and corrections. Guide my heart to receive Your word and to act accordingly. I kneel before You, humbled by You, ready to do Your will. Hallelujah.Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22 May YHWH bless you, keep you, and guide you in all you do. Until next time, this is Linda Goldfarb, and I’m so glad we are on this journey together with Father.Staying Real Just Got Easier!Discover Your God-Designed PersonalityFollow Linda Goldfarb on FacebookLeave a comment for Linda and HeatherCheck out Linda's BooksCheck out Heather's Books

God is Personal
Join our conversation!God is PersonalLet’s Journey Together and spend a Moment with Father. I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire your walk with the Lord. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here. Are you asking why, how, or where? We can certainly look on the mountaintops for answers, yet it's the Creator of the mountains who has them.We can certainly seek out an expert to help us in a situation, yet it's the One who gave the expert their knowledge who can guide our steps. With a word, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob spoke life into the darkness, and it became all things—including you and me. He's that personal. “Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments and his paths beyond tracing out!” Romans 11:33All that YHWH is, all that He created, and all of His knowledge and wisdom are available to us. As we seek God earnestly, He will make Himself known to us.The enemy seeks to turn us away from the One who has counted every hair on our heads.Look around, it's happening now.Father against son, daughter against mother, brothers against sisters —families split, moral-compass askew, truth replaced by political correctness, the destruction of innocence.Oh, my heart aches at the extensive list of corruption in our society. What are we to do?Fall—to our knees before Father.Cling—to the truth Who is Christ.Listen—to the Holy Spirit.Stand—for faith, family, and our future.Pray—in all situations. To YHWH be the glory. Let’s journey together.Abba Daddy, my heart is hurting. I witness sadness and brokenness in the home. Lives are shattered. The hope in man’s eyes is fleeting. Give me the words, Lord. Increase my compassion for others. Give me the courage to reach out and fill the needs of others. Let my joy in You be the light that draws others to You. Let my words help others feel safe. Praise You, O God, for You are merciful, and Your grace abounds. Hallelujah. Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22 May YHWH bless you, keep you, and guide you in all you do. Mercy
Join our conversation!Let’s Journey Together and spend a Moment with Father. I’m Linda Goldfarb, and I want to encourage and inspire your walk with the Lord. For more encouragement, please visit LindaGoldfarb.com. I’m so glad you’re here. What do you think when you hear the word mercy? On several occasions as a kid, while wrestling, playing thumb wars, or engaging in other physically competitive activities, I cried out, “Mercy!”All I wanted was a reprieve, a moment of rest, time to recoup, before we went at it again.Today, cries for mercy are heard across the world for completely different reasons.A defendant stands before a judge and begs for —mercy. He pleads his case, asking for leniency from the court. A child stands before her parents, asking for forgiveness for taking the car out after curfew. She cries out for another chance.A couple quarrels over unfaithfulness. A trembling wife stands with her back turned, arms crossed, tears streaming down her cheeks, listening. Her husband, on his knees, cries out, “It will never happen again. Please, please...”My heart aches.Yet, there is a mercy that transcends all forms of forgiveness. Mercy is given not because we deserve it, promise to be better, or fear the outcome. This mercy is the amazing, unmatchable love we read about in Lamentations.“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23 ESVGod’s love. My heart flutters in anticipation of experiencing the newness of the Lord and His mercies every morning. How about you? How are you experiencing God’s mercy?Take time today and cry out to God. Thank Him for all He gives you, for all He protects you from, for all He guides you to. His mercy is great. Let’s journey together. O Lord! I come before you on bended knee. Show me Your way. Open my eyes to Your will.Bring to my remembrance the joy of my salvation. Renew in me a spirit of love for Your children. Guide me to those who need Your precious mercy. Give me the words to share—stories to tell. Help me share the hope found in Your truth. To Your glory, honor, and praise.Hallelujah. Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourselves; do what it says. James 1:22May YHWH bless you, keep you, and guide you in all you do.
