Are You Still Under God's Wrath?

Our Heavenly Father is just and righteous.  He is holy and He cannot tolerate sin.  That is why He sent His Son, Jesus to die for our sins.  John 3:16-17.  Without holiness, no one will see God.  So how do we sinful human beings become holy?  When we choose to repent and receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and believe that God raised Him from the dead, our sins are atoned for, and God justifies us.  God then considers us righteous, by His standards.  However, if we choose to reject Jesus' sacrifice for our sins, God's wrath hangs over us continually.  "... but whoever rejects the Son will not see [eternal] life, but [instead] the wrath of God hangs over him continually."
