Het land zucht al jaren onder economische malaise. Nu is er een presidentskandidaat die zich afzet tegen de gevestigde traditionele partijen: Javier Milei belooft op radicalewijze het land op sleeptouw te nemen. Geroemd om zijn Trumpiaanse stijl is deze politieke outsider grote kanshebber om straks het roer over te nemen. Het dodenaantal blijft oplopen, ook is er gebrek aan water, voedsel en stroom. Dat laatste zorgt ervoor dat families en hulporganisatie soms dagenlang geen contact kunnen krijgen met hun geliefde en werknemers in Gaza.
