For change to happen there has be shedding of the old for the new to break forth.  We can change our story one day at a time, a kind act or word, deliberately seeking the best in each other.  Our society isn't perfect, yet we have the power to make it a safe haven for all; most especially the vulnerable.  True power and influence is only celebrated when it is used to elevate the plight of the weak, poor and vulnerable.  Dare I say when all men and women are seen and treated as equal.
