As David Confessed His Sins of Adultery and Murder, He Said, "Wipe Out My Guilty Deeds?" (Psalm 51:9) Why Not "Just My Sins"?

This episode is a continuation and a deeper dive into the episode "What does Isaiah 53:10, Jesus Rendering Himself as a Guilt Offering Mean for You if You are Born Again"?  (In that episode, I mistakenly l quoted Isaiah 53:7; it should have been Isaiah 53:10. I've corrected it. Also, in this episode, I may have made the same mistake in the audio. I apologize.) I take you in this episode to Psalm 51, where David confesses his sin of committing adultery with Bathsheba and arranging the murder of her husband, Uriah, to cover it up.  Why did David refer to those sins as guilty deeds? And I ask before you listen to this episode: Has confessing our guilt been missing from our confessions of sin? And what does Psalm 34:21-22 say about it in the New American Standard Bible (NASB), the 2020 edition? Have we short-sighted ourselves? Although I quote the NASB's 2020 and 1995 versions of Psalm 34 in this episode, if you don't have those editions, try googling Psalm 34 in the 2020 and 1995 editions. I find the 2020 edition more encouraging. And where does The Law fit into it? And has the evangelical church lost sight of The Law as a manifestation of God's character?
