Ask, and You Shall Receive… Or Will You?

Greetings, and may grace, mercy, and peace be multiplied to you. We will be in several passages this morning as Pastor Doug preaches again this morning. The Bible tells us that we should pray so that we may receive. But why don’t we always get what we pray for? There may be several reasons. It could be that you don’t ask to begin with, you may be praying with the wrong intention, or perhaps God has a better option for you. Prayer life is an important part of having a relationship with Jesus, and the more we pray, the more we can understand what it is that we truly need. Spend some time with the Father this week, and if your intentions are good, you will be surprised at what prayers God will answer.  “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28 19-20 Don’t forget to pray for one another, especially during these uncertain times.
