Ask Michael: Are We to be Silent or Are We to Fight?

It would appear there is a contradiction in the Bible since in one passage it says to be still and God will fight for us, but then there is another passage where we are told to put on the “Armor of God.” So, which is true? Are we to be silent and still and let God do the work? Or are we to put on our armor and go to war? Is this truly a contradiction?
