ASK THE EXPERT---Mina Larson (CEO, NCCAOM – Part 1)

from My Metro Medicine Podcast

In this audio version of the recent ASK THE EXPERT show, we interviewed Mina Larson, CEO of the National Certification Commission on Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in Washington, DC. (www.nccaom.org) According to their website, the “NCCAOM is the only national organization that validates entry-level competency in the practice of Acupuncture and Oriental medicine (AOM) through professional certification.” In our interview with Mina, we asked her questions about the role of NCCAOM, their reason for moving back to DC from Jacksonville, FL and what they plan to achieve, as well as what the organization does for licensed acupuncturists. We are grateful to both Mina and the NCCAOM for allowing this special opportunity to look closely at what the organization is doing behind the scenes to support our growing profession.
