Friends of the Rosary,St. Clare (1194-1253), the sister of St. Francis of Assisi, whose feast day we celebrated yesterday, made poverty the basis of her life, as taught by St. Francis. Clare desired to be an imitator of the poverty of Christ.Scripture shows how precious poverty is.Christ was poor.
