Friends of the Rosary,Our Lord says in the Gospel today (Matthew 19:23-30):"Everyone who has given up houses or brothers or sistersor father or mother or children or landsfor the sake of my name will receive a hundred times more,and will inherit eternal life.But many who are first will be last, and the last will be first."Everything depends on God, including our own salvation. This is a fact of faith. Pride makes us forget that we are creatures of God, but grace reminds us of it.We are not saved by possessions, status, intelligence, or self-control.
