August 28 – Day 240. Pray for the fruit of Holiness

Our prayer today will be aligned with the scripture taken from Romans 6:22-23, and it reads: “But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” As we pray, let us acknowledge that the consequences of sin are severe; they lead to death, both spiritual and eternal. But God is offering us a great gift: the opportunity for eternal life, which is made possible through our relationship with Jesus Christ, our Lord. The Lord is reminding us that, having been liberated from the grip of sin and transformed into devoted servants of God, we now bear the fruit of righteousness, which leads us to holiness. The fruit of holiness is everlasting life. For the gift is not merely an escape from mortality but a pathway to a fulfilled and purposeful existence in communion with God.Support the show
