As Jesus approached, a crowd of his disciples gathered in excitement. He saw that their hearts were filled with joy as they began to praise God aloud, celebrating the remarkable miracles they had witnessed. Our scripture will be taken from Malachi 3:10, and it reads “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” The Lord is emphasizing the importance of faithfulness in giving, highlighting the promise of divine generosity in return. He is encouraging us to pay our tithes and be obedient in our giving. He wants us to bring all the tithes into the storehouse of our churches, so that there may be provisions in our dwelling place. He wants us to test him and see if he will not open up the windows of heaven and pour out abundant blessings that we will not have space sufficient to receive them.As we pray, let us ask the Lord for directions to follow his will in giving. Jonah felt as though he was in the very grasp of hell itself, yet even from such dire circumstances, he found hope in the assurance that the Lord was attentive to his cries.Today, the Lord is encouraging us to pray. In this promise of restoration, we will find abundance; our tables will overflow with food, and we will feel a deep sense of fulfillment and satisfaction. As we pray, let us pray with gratitude and joy; let us lift our voices in praise to the Lord our God, who has performed miraculous works on our behalf, and let us rejoice with a heart full of thankfulness.
