I've never really looked at Psalm 63 in this way before because it takes you through all the postures that David had before the Lord, which we see throughout the entire Psalms. But here they were in 11 verses, and by the end of it, he's confidently proclaiming victory.

And that's where I recognized the disconnect: we're proclaiming and using our authority in Jesus' name. Still, we're not living into or leaning into these spiritual postures and practices, yet we expect something to happen automatically.

The disconnect often happens when we rush to claim victory without inviting Jesus into our struggles, our pain, and our reality.

I am thrilled to introduce you to my friend and author, Theresa M. Miller, today. She is a writer, podcaster, and mother, and in this episode, we discuss beauty, faith, and the challenges of life. Plus, we go into detail about her new book, The Posture of Victory: Finding True Peace Amidst Our Everyday Battles, a 6-week bible study and our collaborative book, Unexpected Blessings, 40 Days of Discovering God's Best, co-authored with five other women.

The big takeaway for me, beautifully demonstrated in Theresa's story, is the value of faithful little steps of obedience when God calls us to do something. When we feel the Holy Spirit's nudging.

You'll love Theresa's unique journey as a homeschooling mother and writer, focusing on her commitment to early morning writing and the challenges of balancing multiple roles.

She shares her personal struggles with beauty ideals and how she overcame them through faith. Theresa's wise words resonate deeply: "We don't have to look a certain way or like another person. Comparison needs to be completely eliminated from that. However, we just need to take care of ourselves and strive to be the best version of ourselves."

Theresa offers us numerous nuggets of wisdom. I am so blessed by her friendship and this lovely conversation, and I know you will be, too.

So, grab a favorite beverage, find a cozy spot, and prepare for an inspiring conversation with my lovely guest, Theresa M. Miller. I look forward to having you join us.
