AYIOS DIMITRIOS KİLİSESİ

Ayios Dimitrios Kilisesi, İstanbul' da Beşiktaş ilçesine bağlı Kuruçeşme semtinde bulunan bir Rum Ortodoks kilisesi, ancak onu farklı kılan özelliği ise içinden geçen kutsal su nedeniyle halk tarafından şifa dağıttığına inanılıyor. 1798 yılında yıktırılıp tekrar yapılan kilise, inşa edilirken mimarın tedbirsizliği nedeni ile kalıplar söküldüğünde kubbe yıkılmış ve birçok işçi ölmüştür. Yıkılan yapının çatısını dönemin Osmanlı padişahı III. Selim ahşap olarak tekrar yaptırmıştır.
