from BMO in the MO'RNING · host BMOintheMOrning

Last Time: Shortly after getting off the air at 11:30, Brian had a heart attack. 911 operators responded not only in person, (Brian actually lives across the street from police and rescue dispatch) but with an ambulance led by Paramedic Webb Roberts, who made the call to rush Brian to Carthage to meet the chopper who was coming in from Meridian, rather than wait. Brian was medevaced to University of Mississippi Medical Center, where Cardiologist Gabriel Hernandez’s team was ready. Brian required two stents put in as the first of the blockages addressed was at the “widow maker” artery, the team had to “defib” Brian twice, but the procedure was a success. With the concerns of clots and overall health, a second stent was put in on Thursday afternoon and Brian was released and brought home to Kosciusko where his parents and his son Mason, got him comfortable and through the weekend. After discussing limitations and strategies with Boswell Media Owner Melissa Boswell Townsend, Brian plans to return in a limited capacity on Wednesday of this week and will once again add another chapter to the podcast that thanks to listeners like you has reached a quarter of a million downloads and streams in its 5-month run.
