"Back to the 5th grade!" by Steve AdamsRecently, I was invited back to a local school to present some basic electrical lessons to the 5th graders.  The required points included magnetism, conductors and insulators and open and closed circuits.  I also have visual demonstrations that show these concepts to the kids and I try to make the whole program interactive.I always take questions from the students.  Some wanted more details on 3D printing concrete and others commented on how they had an electric heat pump at their home.  The majority were curious about the travel aspect.  They asked about what food was my favorite or if I had seen Giraffe while in Africa.  Others wanted to know how I communicated with non-English speakers in Germany.  One wanted to know if I had seen Mt Everest while in Nepal. All of us have curiosity, but many never have the chance to be encouraged to explore that curiosity.  I am sure the kids learned about electricity, but I was more pleased they learned how it can lead to a larger world of experience.Support the show#Political/Conservative/Judeo/Christian/Constitutional
