Bad Boys with Arielle Faye-Foulds: Episode Two

TL/DR: This week we discuss the 90s action classic Bad Boys directed by Michael Bay. The guest, making her podcast debut, is the fabulous Arielle Faye-Foulds. ---------------------------------------------------- This episode is about a movie and a director that aren’t considered “high cinema.” I’m of course talking about Bad Boys and Michael Bay. This is continuing the December theme of Mikes you might not Likes. In a change from our pilot episode, both myself and the guest will be experiencing this film for the first time, as we BOTH think we might not like it, but also think that we could be wrong here. I mean, the idea of a film that is not challenging mentally, has a lot of visually entertaining effects and explosions, maybe there IS something here to like! And of course, like it or not, the film itself is still influential to the genre, while also launching the career of Michael Bay. He would go on to do- the Transformers franchise, or course, but also Armageddon, and The Rock. Not to mention the video for I would do Anything for Love by Meatloaf!
