By most metrics you could say that Russia peaked in May 2023 when the city fell. Since then, their casualties have spiked, progress has stalled and Ukraine is regularly striking inside of Russia. Despite all of the claims at the time that the Ukrainian army was set to collapse, that's far from the case today.
