Change by George. From Volume IV Side B of the Band of Georges. Music and lyrics by G. Davies. Composed 20th January 1985. Recorded August 1986. Mixed October 1986. Lifted from cassette April 2025. Copyright © 1985 Explicit Music. Copyright ℗ 2025 Wud Records. Fun Facts: Change is a progressive rock song that was originally composed on the guitar. There are 42 different chords on the guitar, apparently. Change was performed by Wud and was a crowd favourite. Ken would play a two-note solo at the beginning, then George took over the lead duty. There are many musical changes, as well as the lyrics describing the feeling of growing from child to adult. "A dram of cider" is an odd lyric that refers to the early Wud posse's enjoyment of drinking whisky as well as cider. The piano is a Challen 988 upright which lived in George's family's home and was bought new directly from the factory in about 1970.
