It appears on their Howell Road Demo, and their Exit Stage Deaf compilation. Elephant Fayre was an annual festival held near St Germans in Cornwall. 1986 was its final year, after some sort of trouble with some travellers. The organisers simply didn't fancy having to deal with so many problems in subsequent years. Down at the Elephant Fayre is a song in E. The main riff is a tribute to Cornish band The Mechanics and their hit single The Power of Love. The Mechanics performed a barnstorming set on the main stage in 1986.
