This song was written after a performance of Everyone, when the whole show was restaged at Exeter Cathedral. George had been enjoying the company of Jo, one of the cast, when the main lights suddenly went out, plunging the cathedral into near darkness. The pupils of Jo's eyes suddenly grew much bigger, which was completely captivating for a 16-year-old boy full of hormones. The acoustic 12-string is the Ibanez that belonged to Dean from The Addled Eggs and The Subterraineans, who were busy trying to form a live set at that time.
