Fun Facts: Same Old Road Again was a song George wrote to express his frustration at some of the unreliable musicians he had worked with. Most of the guitar is played using fingers, not a pick. It's not until the solo at the end of the song that he swaps to a plectrum. This song was the second song Rough Terrain ever played live. They ran into it from a cover of Steppenwolf's Born to Be Wild. Rough Terrain performed this song many, many times. It was also a part of the set of the first incarnation of The Ug Brothers. This was the first demo to feature the Boss 220A drum machine, instead of the DR55 Dr Rhythm. It required a much greater time investment in terms of programming. He also had to add a few judicious extra beats to make some of the flams and fills. These had to be added live to the drum machine track as it was being recorded.
