The music for this song was composed some time after the majority of the rest of the concept album was written. Most of the music for the concept album was composed in the spring and early summer of 1983. The lyrics for the concept album songs came later. Some of the lyrics were written in the summer of '83 and more in the following months and years. The concept album was loosely based on the computer game Wizardry, by Andrew Greenberg and Robert Woodhead. The software title was a huge and groundbreaking success on the Apple II in 1982.
