It was written after George had spent a day fooling around and trying things out in the music room of a friend of his Dad. There were some more lyrics about sheep and grass in the key change section before the choruses, but these were soon abandoned. Instead, the lead guitar plays what was the vocal melody in this places. This song was performed live many times, by Wud, Lemming Meringue and others.
