Fun Facts: Walking Over That Same Old Stony Ground was a late addition to The Concept Album. The Concept Album was originally conceived in the spring and summer of 1983. Much of the music for that album was composed in 1983, although not many of the songs were actually finished at that time. George's girlfriend at this time, who was a fan of his musical compositions but not his lyrics, said that this song was a "much needed level-up" in lyric writing. There is a different Ug Brothers version of this song on their Live in Session 20.11.1986 album. This recording features Marc Greatorex on bass and Graham Barbe on drums. This is a recording of The Ug Brothers. That band first formed and then disbanded around the end of 1986. They reformed, with some success, in 1994.
