He phoned Simon to tell him he had written a new song for the 1984 play that Mark Drower was planning to present. Simon had also written a song the same evening. Both of their songs had the exact same chord progression - G D F C. Simon's song was Johnny Wake Up, which was later performed by the two of them on Sidmouth Seafront for the local TV station, which was when Ken and Simon Knagg first appeared. Mark didn't go through with putting on the play and nothing ever happened with this song.
