She has extensive experience in various clinical and managerial sectors of social work and as an entrepreneur. She has led retreats, supervised clinicians and worked with amazing and courageous clients. The goal is to heal from trauma, anxiety, depression and grief. Her private practice group of talented and compassionate therapists offer safe and effective counseling for individuals and families. Barbara offers Anxiety Coaching and teaches her sound step by step program for people suffering with anxiety, panic and excessive worry. Barbara’s groups  have been about creating a safe and empowering community so others don’t have to feel the loneliness and isolation that she did starting in 1979.  She is on a mission to teach and share what she has learned and help ease some of the damage and grief anxiety causes. Barbara’s Takeaways. “Anxiety is not a life sentence.  Anxiety is not the enemy.  In balance anxiety it necessary for survival.  Anxiety is a scared part of you.  Panic attacks are scary and uncomfortable and not dangerous.  Stop beating yourself up about what you didn’t know.  Knowledge and understanding the nature of anxiety is healing.  I hope people can heal from anxiety and panic and find their true self, find a life where they can make decisions and not have decisions made by their anxious reactions.  We are not supposed to live through a lens of fear and panic.  I know what it feels like to be anxious, scared and hopeless.
