【バレー】JVAが2026男子U17世界選手権大会の参加辞退を発表

公益財団法人日本バレーボール協会は14日、8月19日（水）よりドーハ（カタール）で開催される「2026男子U17世界選手権大会」への参加を辞退することを発表した。開催地や大会日程に変更がないことを踏まえたうえで、昨今の中東情勢を踏まえ、選手およびスタッフの安全確保を最優先に慎重な検討を重ねた結果、代表チームの十分な安全を担保することが困難であると判断。男子U17日本代表チームの派遣を中止するとともに、同大会への参加を辞退することを決定した。
