A three-part series based on the 1993 giant run of comics about Bane coming to Gotham and breaking Batman's back. Then the other parts are how Batman rises back up and who takes over when the Dark Knight is out of commission. This here is definitely a return to form for the DCU animated movies that have been missing in action in the last while. The film is a fantastic way a streamlining that massive comic and comes in as one of the top tier ones they put out. Treating it as its own standalone movie instead of trying to combine everything in the same universe as they did for about the last 10 years of movies.
