We are a city of cyclists and walkers -- and a growing number of scooter riders. [Whatever happened to in-line skaters? They're dancing in the Park.] But our streets are controlled by cars, buses and trucks. Bikers must be vigilant -- constantly. It's Bike Month, and so it seemed appropriate to invite Erwin Figueroa of Transportation Alternatives to BCR to talk about the NYC cycling culture.
