BE GROUNDED AND GUARDED

The foundation begins with the shoes of gospel peace, which grounds believers in the truth that reconciliation with God is available through Jesus Christ. This peace becomes both a personal anchor and a message to share with others.The shield of faith serves as crucial protection against various enemy attacks, including lies about identity in Christ, temptations during vulnerable times, and spiritual complacency. Faith development often progresses gradually, like a dimmer switch rather than an instant light switch, requiring multiple exposures to the gospel message. The Holy Spirit works through believers who act as witnesses rather than attorneys trying to win arguments.Effective spiritual warfare requires both individual preparation and community support. Believers are called to link shields with others through active church involvement and accountability relationships. This includes identifying areas needing strengthening, memorizing relevant Scripture, and actively sharing the gospel while maintaining a battleship rather than cruise ship mentality.
