Bearing One Another’s Burdens: The Christian Duty of Love

On the 7th Sunday after Pentecost, Archbishop Irineos reflects on Romans 15:1-7 and St. Paul’s call for the strong to bear the infirmities of the weak. Challenging the modern spirit of individualism, he explores the Christian obligation to place the spiritual good of our neighbor before our own comfort, following the example of Christ who willingly bore the burdens of the world upon the Cross.
