Becoming Fruitful

from Wray Church of the Nazarene · host Wray Church of the Nazarene

Spiritual growth often feels frustratingly slow because we expect instant transformation in our faith journey. Jesus teaches in John 15 that we are branches connected to Him as the vine, and fruit grows naturally from this connection rather than our own effort. Many approach discipleship backwards, thinking they must try harder to produce spiritual fruit, but the real question is whether we're staying connected to Jesus through prayer, Scripture, and worship. God sometimes allows difficult seasons as pruning to remove what's unhealthy or unnecessary, preparing us for greater fruitfulness. The fruit of the Spirit - love, joy, peace, patience, and other character qualities - develops gradually and benefits others around us. Instead of striving to manufacture growth, we should focus on abiding in Christ and trusting His process. For sermon notes, recap, and devotionals, click here: https://sermons.wraynaz.comFor all our links, click here: https://linktr.ee/wraynaz
