In a world obsessed with division, the church is called to something radically different. The early church in Philippi was made up of people with nothing in common except Christ, and that was enough. The gospel is meant to change the way we see people. Many people believe they can grow spiritually without needing others, thinking they can become more like Jesus on their own.
