Becoming Open to King Jesus - Llewelyn Hoy

Who are we becoming? In a small upper room in first century Palestine a group of disenfranchised Messianic Jews were asking much the same question. The book of Acts is the story of how this persecuted religious minority in ancient Jerusalem became a massive, diverse, complex, multiethnic, multicultural, global movement that would change the world. The book of Acts is the story of how God continues the reign of Jesus and His Kingdom movement through His Holy Spirit in the lives of this community of believers. As we reflect on the story of Acts and how the church came to be, let's think about what kind of church we are becoming.
