Begilufin - Berlin Live: Geometry (#2) #267

from Pi Radio · host Pi Radio

We play a wild, confusing mess of international sounds, stretching from the birth of recorded music to something we heard two days ago. We do our best to ignore the normal, accentuate the weird, and ignore borders, boundaries and time-zone. TONITE on your RADIO! It’s the Begilufin GEOMETRY special PART TWO! Your shapely hosts Ziv Lode and Dan Abbott are back with another hour of torturous tunes themed around GEOMETRY. Worried that today’s music is just for SQUARES? Tonight we will be spinning a full range of international GEODESIC grooves for HEXAGONAL eardrums. Begilufin, the Bermuda TRIANGLE of modern musical radio! As always, this is live and occasionally quite silly radio - we often throw in a couple of genuine mistakes for your entertainment. 1. François De Roubaix - Avec Des Cubes 2. Whirlwind Heat - The Sun Is Round 3. Yvon - Im Kreis Der Liebe 4. Brazilian Girls - Corner Store 5. The Free Design - Bubbles 6. The Peppermint Rainbow - Walking In Different Circles 7. Jacno - Losange 8. Ümit Aksu Orkestrası - Bermuda Şeytan Üçgeni 9. Blues Section - Semi Circle Solitude 10. Jimi Tenor - Four Corners of the Earth 11. Phil Moore - A Times Square 12. Cut Chemist - Thin Line 13. The Monkees - Circle Sky # Begilufin Begilufin is an hour long radio show broadcast live twice a month from the heart Berlin on the station Pi Radio. On Begilufin we play a wild, confusing mess of international sounds, stretching from the birth of recorded music to something we heard two days ago. We do our best to ignore the normal, accentuate the weird, and ignore borders, boundaries and time-zones. Each show revolves around a central theme and then we surprise each other (and you, dear listener) with our selections live on air. Since you ask, ‘Begilufin’ is a Hebrew word meaning intoxicated, inebriated, drunk, sozzled or smashed - a perfect description of the delirious off-centre mix of crazed music we like to spin on the show or indeed the effect it might have on your ears. Begilufin was created by Ziv Lode in 2010. Ziv was joined by Dan Abbott a couples of years later after a chance meeting in a kindergarten playground revealed a mutual love of the music of Erkin ‘The Turkish Hendrix’ Koray. * https://www.mixcloud.com/begilufin/ * https://www.instagram.com/begilufinradio/
