BEHIND THE LENS #232: Featuring Micah Hauptman and Brett Cullen

from Behind The Lens · host debbie lynn elias

This week on BEHIND THE LENS we look to the stars and into the past as we take another look at THE RIOT ACT with two very special guests, plus an excerpt from our exclusive interview with the director of LUCY IN THE SKY. First up, take a listen to an excerpt from our exclusive interview with director NOAH HAWLEY as he talks about LUCY IN THE SKY starring Natalie Portman and Jon Hamm. Noah's first foray into the world of narrative features after a very successful career as a television writer ("Legion", "Fargo", "Bones") and sometimes director ("Fargo"), his direction and vision is solid; he takes some visual risks with aspect ratio as a means to further immerse the audience into the story and the mind of astronaut Lucy Cola who is experiencing an existential crisis and descent into madness following her latest mission into space and spacewalk. Then we've got a big welcome for actor MICAH HAUPTMAN who returns to #BTLRadioShow almost four years to the day, this time talking about THE RIOT ACT. Last week, writer/director Devon Parks joined us to talk about the film which is also based on a true story that occurred at the turn of the 20th Century. Always a joy, Micah talks character, costume, and more! And no sooner do we have Micah, than veteran actor BRETT CULLEN is on hand talking about his starring role in THE RIOT ACT, the importance of production detail, collaborating with his director, his storied career, advice for young actors and, of course, "Joker" in which he plays Bruce Wayne's father. http://behindthelensonline.net http://eliasentertainmentnetwork.com
