Behind the Scenes of Zalando: 'Diversity within the company helps better represent diversity of our customers'

Different organizations work on diversity and inclusion, but most of the work happens behind the scenes.  That's why it's not always visible and hard for other organizations to be inspired by it. We want to change this with this series of episodes called 'Behind the Scenes'. Hanan Challouki has spoken to Megan Maley, Zalando’s General Manager for Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, UK and Ireland. Megan drives Zalando's vision to be the Starting Point for Fashion in these five markets by leading local teams and defining localised strategies. Megan explains how Zalando has made D&I an integral part of its business operations: internally and externally, at the corporate level and locally. She shares insights into Zalando’s D&I strategy, called do.BETTER, and some of the achievements of Zalando’s D&I report 2022. She discusses some of the challenges and learnings to make the company and the industry a place where everyone feels welcome.
