Being A Sober Living Inspiration with Guest Joy Downey

Joy has nearly 20 years of sobriety and now helps addicts in active addiction to get into treatment. Her story is harrowing, from smuggling drugs out of Mexico to run ins with the police and the prospect of serious penitentiary time. She tells how losing it all, including your kids, is sometimes still not enough to finally get sober. Joy’s addiction took her to  some very dark places but, ultimately, after losing her kids, she decided enough is enough, I want my kids back! She now has an amazing relationship with her family and has found herself babysitting her grandchildren.
