A long awaited episode at that, as Pip is joined by Rebecca from Ben & Jerry's ice cream and Melanie from the incredible International Rescue Committee! Imagine that... Yes indeed, all those references to those forward thinking ice cream pioneers Ben & Jerry on all those DrunkCasts, the Instagram posts, the tweets... Well it looks like they have opened a big, frosty freezer door for our frozen treat-loving host, as he got to join the gang for a wonderful chat - and most definitely NOT limited to ice-cream either...Fighting through the perils of a corrupted file situation in a previous visit, Pip managed to arrange a meet with Rebecca and Melanie for a second recording deep in the Slough B&J barn. Of course Pip got to taste test some of the goods within, but the chat side of the meetup is where the magic happens - listen to the history of the company itself, setup by two brilliant hippies in Burlington (who are sure to be subjects in a movie at some point), to how it's all made and the ethics of the ingredients (the brownie story is wonderful), to the awesome campaigns that the company stand behind which echo the political leanings of Ben and Jerry themselves. This is not a sponsored episode at all, and it's fascinating to hear how a big company can have a genuinely ethical and very well meaning, evolved and inclusive side to them.
