Ben Hoffman - 4th in KONA, newborn daughter, season recap, training tips & more!

from The Pacing and Racing Podcast · host The Pacing and Racing Podcast

In today’s podcast, we meet with American Pro Triathlete, Ben Hoffman! Now Ben recently finished racing the IRONMAN World Championships with a 4th place finish and only 48 seconds down from Sebastian Kienle in third! Just a few short weeks after that he toed the line at IRONMAN Florida claiming 2nd place! Ben also previously claimed the top step of the podium at the IRONMAN South African Championships, making it his Third Win on that course! Ben has an incredible list of accolades including being an IM Champion 7x, placing 4th in the IM World Championships in 2019 and 2016, 2nd in the IM World Championships in 2014, and a multi IM 70.3 Champion! What I love most about Ben’s story is the ability for so many to relate to it. Ben and his wife Kelsey recently welcomed a new life into the world in September, their daughter, Josephine! So throughout the daily focus and work involved with being a parent to a newborn, Ben was still able to stay focused and determined to produce some amazing performances which is truly inspirational! In this episode, Ben Goes over his racing plans and schedule, and gives us some great insight on balancing training with family life, overcoming injuries, sharpening your competitive mindset, nutrition tips and so much more! Ben also gives us some great age group training advice and leaves us with plenty of motivation! I personally am a big fan of Ben and what he’s done in Triathlon so the honor is all mine in this podcast, and I hope you guys enjoy the episode!
