Gewelddadige bendes in Haïti worden steeds jonger In Haïti bestaan de gewelddadige bendes inmiddels voor de helft uit minderjarigen, blijkt uit een rapport van Unicef. Het bendegeweld en de aanhoudende politieke instabiliteit leiden ertoe dat mensen op een ‘ongekende schaal’ ontheemd zijn geraakt, aldus de VN. Kevin Gilmont van hulporganisatie Broederlijk Delen is te gast over de laatste ontwikkelingen. Jaarlijks proberen honderdduizenden migranten de grens over te steken. Mexico werkt al actief mee om deze cijfers te verlagen door illegale migranten op te pakken en met bussen naar het zuiden van het land te vervoeren, naar steden als Villahermosa. Correspondent Boris van der Spek reisde naar Villahermosa om te onderzoeken wat er gebeurt met deze migranten.
