Berlin Marathon Recap (Ep 149)
from Will Run For... Hosted by WRF Podcast
Diana is back from Europe with a full Berlin Marathon race recap and first standalone marathon PR attempt. She breaks down two and a half weeks of travel through Munich (including Oktoberfest in a beer tent), the Berlin expo experience at the airplane hangar, racemorning logistics near the Brandenburg Gate, running 26.2 miles with a sore throat and 56,000 of your closest friends, and why the Rally app made her cry happy tears at mile 20. Tom shares what it's like to chase a runner through Berlin as a spectator. Plus: the Wine and Dine Half Marathon is two weeks away and Bryana is ready for the great 5K staggered start experiment, Michael has claimed Strava Local Legend status on the Ben Franklin Bridge, Tom is officially in "Locktober" mode (no more marathons — just consistency), the Virtually Live Challenge is open for $5, Diana is running the Baltimore Marathon in one week, and Goal Getters is packed with NYC Marathon peak week survivors. In Something Good: The Love Hypothesis movie, fall scary movies, Séance on a Wet Afternoon (1964), Body of Evidence, and the Sarah J. Maas reread race against the new Empyrean novella Threshing Day. Come laugh with us as we share our running experiences and talk about everything from our favorite beer runs to our chafing nightmares. Tell us what YOU run for...
