Und der Fokus der Medizin muss sich von der Behandlung hin zur Prävention verschieben. 
Was es dafür von Staat, Wirtschaft und Mediziner:innen noch braucht? Das wissen die drei Expertinnen aus Wissenschaft (Prof. Dr. med. Dr. rer. nat. Kernaussagen dieser Folge: - Die Forschung generiert viel zu wenig gendersensible und intersektionale Daten. - KI wird eine massive Bereicherung für Forschung, Prävention und Behandlung darstellen - sobald die Daten auch die gesamte Gesellschaft bzw. die zu untersuchende Bevölkerungsgruppe repräsentieren - und nicht nur den jungen, weißen Mann. - Die deutsche Bevölkerung bzw. die Patient:innen legen großen Wert auf Datenschutz. - Ihr Vertrauen in Künstliche Intelligenz muss wachsen, damit sie freiwillig ihre persönlichen Daten für eine bessere Behandlung aller teilen. Dafür müssen Data Science und Medizin vertrauenswürdige und anonyme Lösungen schaffen. - Nur 40 Prozent der Frauen ab 50 Jahren nutzen die Brustkrebsfrüherkennung in Form einer Mammografie. - Vorbeugen ist besser als heilen.
