Welcome back to the week and welcome back to Morning Kickaround. We are going to begin on the pitch this week with a look at Nashville SC and their pursuit of the MLS points record. Nashville is only the latest in a growing line of clubs aiming of historical regular season supremacy. Inter Miami just set the record two years ago and it wasn’t long ago the Los Angeles FC and the New England Revolution made runs at the top mark. Why does this keep happening and is Nashville really the most talented regular season of all time? WIll it make a difference once the playoffs kickoff? We then pivot to the youth of America with the U.S. Soccer Federation absorbing U.S. Youth Soccer into its ranks. The move will take place over two years and end with U.S. Soccer fully controlling youth soccer for the first time. This sounds like the sort of move that can unify the federation in ways we haven’t seen before, but it's making Robert, MK’s resident soccer dad, a bit nervous.
