Every year brings it's own challenges -- personal, relational, spiritual, and even national. Yet through every season, Scripture reminds us that God is with us, and we are never without a choice in how we respond. Hardship can make us bitter, or it can make us better. Bitterness is rotten to the core, accumulated anger and sadness that settles into the heart over time. God's Word goes even deeper: bitterness is a poisonous root (Hebrews 12:15) that speads through a person's life, relationships, and spiritual health.
