Beyond Security: Technology, Leadership, and the Power of Serving Others with Corey Nydick

In this episode of What Are You Made Of, Mike "C-Roc" sits down with Corey Nydick, an electronic security industry veteran with nearly 29 years of experience helping businesses protect their people, assets, and operations. Corey shares how the security industry has evolved far beyond traditional cameras and alarms, with emerging technology now creating opportunities to support marketing, HR, operations, and overall business performance—turning security from an expense into a strategic investment with measurable ROI. Corey also opens up about his philosophy of partnering with customers and becoming an extension of their security program rather than simply another vendor. Beyond business, he and Mike dive into Corey’s passion for helping others, leadership, youth sports, fundraising, and the powerful life lessons he learned while supporting his daughter through her softball journey. From developing patience and resilience as a young pitcher to navigating the emotional transition when her competitive career came to an unexpected end, Corey reflects on the importance of embracing the process, learning from failure, and making the most of the time we have with the people we love. This conversation is a powerful reminder that success isn’t just about what you accomplish—it’s about who you help, the relationships you build, and the impact you leave along the way.
