Send us Fan MailWelcome to Biblical Talks Encouraging Word for the Week, I am Rachel Tolliver, Matthew Henry the famous Bible scholar got robbed—but he didn’t lose his praise. He said, “Let me be thankful…” Not bitter. Not broken. Thankful. Why? Because even in loss, he saw grace. Even in trouble, he saw mercy. Even in the valley, he saw the hand of God holding him up.He said, “They took my purse, but not my life.” That’s protection. “They took my all, but it wasn’t much.” That’s perspective. “It was I who was robbed, not I who robbed.” That’s providence. And saints, if Matthew Henry could find four reasons to bless the Lord after being robbed, surely we can find a few reasons this morning! Psalm 103 says:Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits… What are those benefits? He forgives every sin—not just the ones we confess, but the ones we forgot to mention. He heals every disease—even the ones medicine can’t touch. He redeems your life from the pit—when you were sinking deep in sin, He reached down and pulled you out.He crowns you with love and mercy—not shame, not guilt, but glory and grace. He satisfies you with good—not junk, not leftovers, but soul food straight from heaven’s kitchen. And He renews your youth like the eagle—so you can soar again, run again, dream again. So don’t forget the benefits. Don’t overlook the blessings. Don’t sleep on the favor. You may have been robbed of some things—but you’ve still got your praise, your purpose, and your promise. And that’s more than enough to bless the Lord! For more encouraging, words please go to biblicaltalks.com or listen to biblical talks podcast on your favorite media app  Support the showHave a blessed day, and thanks for listening!
