The NBA season tips off TONIGHT! And Rob is back to work at Spectrum – not for the home opener – but he will be in the building for the Timberwolves and Lakers as they tip off the season. We take a look around the league at the get-in prices for the NBA home openers, and the Celtics and Knicks at the Garden leads the way with the most expensive ticket which makes sense to Rob who is now more optimistic about the Knicks. And everyone struggles to guess the lowest ticket to get in the door, which was the Bulls.   Rob was also surprised to hear Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve go OFF on the WNBA officiating, because while she was right but that’s not something you say in front of the media. And we gauge Rob’s excitement on the Lakers rookies, as “Westside Knecht” had a monster game (even though it meant Rob had to work an extra half hour) and Bronny finally showed up for the dance.   And we run off a huge round of NBA Hot Takes as the season gets underway, and it start with Kendrick Perkins saying Kawhi Leonard should consider retiring, even though he’s owed $150M over the next three season… but Rob is doubting his passion for the game. We also take the under on Ben Simmons games played at 44.5, how Luca and Kyrie could not be the greatest backcourt in NBA history because they don’t play defense, Darius Garland feeling like he was “turned on” and how Wembanyama might be special but needs to slow down on criticizing how other guys get ready for the season. Plus everyone goes over on OKC winning 50 games this year, and what to expect in Philly if Joel Embiid misses half the season.   We find out if Rob has plans to go to the World Series in LA, B-Dog has something to say to Cleveland fans after the Deshaun Watson injury, and we offer up a Big Shot of the Week to two middle school girls who got a proper burial for a lost veteran who was buried without a headstone.
